Fundamentally an immigrant Church, The Mar Thoma Church has been dynamically involved in the socio-cultural settings of North America and Europe for the past 30 years without compromising the rich ethos and tradition received from her motherland of Kerala, India. Presently, the Diocese consists of 66 parishes and 13 congregations in the Diocese with 70 clergy.
The Diocese functions under the leadership of the Diocesan Bishop Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius. The Diocesan Assembly is the representative body of the churches within the Diocese. In order to execute the decisions of the Diocesan Assembly, a Diocesan Council functions. Currently, Rev. K.E. Geevarghese serves as the Diocesan Secretary. The Office Bearers mentioned above constitute the Diocesan Council Executive Committee.
After co mpleting his academic studies, Mar Theodosius obtained his BD Degree in 1972 from the Leonard Theological College. He was ordained as ‘Kasseesa’ in the year 1973. He received a Doctorate from Mc Master University, Hamilton, Canada in 1986. He was consecrated as Episcopa on December 9, 1989 along with Mar Athanasius and Mar Coorilos.
Mar Theodosius has been in charge of several parishes in India and in Toronto, Canada and served as the Director of Thomas Mar Athanasius Orientation Centre, Manganam. From 1990 - 2008 as an Episcopa of the Church; Tirumeni was in charge of
- Madras-Kunnamkulam and Kunnamkulam-Malabar
- Trivandrum-Quilon Diocese
- Chennai - Bangalore and Malaysia-Singapore & Australia Dioceses.
Dr. Mar Theodosius is a good scholar and his books on Reform Movements in Kerala and their Impact on Socio-Economic and Religious Life of the People have made a mark in academic circles.
 Rev.K.E. Geevarghese is the Diocesan/Bishop’s Secretary of the Diocese of North America and Europe. He was ordained as a deacon on 18th June 1999 and as a priest on August 3, 1999. He served as Secretary to the Bishop in Trivandrum – Quilon Diocese (1999-2005) and in Chennai – Bangalore Diocese (2005-206). He served as the Vicar of Bethel MTC, KR Puram, Bangalore (2006-2008) and Ascension MTC in Philadelphia (2010-2011).
